Ok, chili + winter is basically synonymous and I am 100% okay with that. Hence, the healthy turkey chili recipe. I found this on Pinterest from Ambitious Kitchen blog, and I’m so glad I did. Again, super easy to make and FULL of flavor! Because I wasn’t sure how it would turn out (I’m really picky about my chili), I made the recipe as-is regarding serving size. Typically I like to double recipes so we have plenty of leftovers to eat for the week, so next time I definitely will.
I altered the original recipe to fit my liking; instead of kidney beans, I used only one can of low sodium black beans; instead of chicken broth, I used organic chicken bone broth – better for my digestive system; I added one tablespoon of onion powder, and 3 bell peppers instead of one (I like to veggie load!).
I love that this recipe is high protein and low carb, and basically just full of lean protein and vegetables. It’s light, flavorful, and very filling. Highly recommend!
